Many companies (churches and ministries included) are anxious to build a great website, but have not thought about strategy. They have grandiose ideas about what their website will look like, but they have not thought about the purpose behind the website.

I saw some buzz on Twitter in the last couple months about something called The Idea Camp. I looked into it, and was very excited to find out what it is. The Idea Camp is a place to bring ideas, listen to ideas, and start talking about ways to see them become reality. The conference is participant-driven (versus big-name speaker driven) and follows the unconference format.

There’s no doubt that social media is here to stay. Many churches have started to use Twitter as a part of their ministry toolbox. I have been a big Twitter fan since I first signed up in January.
