I was sitting in Starbucks this morning when a young guy came up to the counter. When the Barrista asked him how he was he grunted and said “I hate Mondays”. He couldn’t have sounded more pathetic if he wanted to. He acted as if waking up Monday morning was like a trip to the electric chair. If you hate what you do each week so much — DON’T DO IT!
I came across these two videos this week, and I was inspired by the amount of passion these two guys have. It got me thinking, what fires me up like this? Do I pour myself into ANYTHING as much these guys pour themselves into their passions?
A few weeks ago I wrote about The Idea Camp. The event took place this past weekend, and it was incredible. I met tons of amazing people from all over the US. I was inspired to think in fresh new ways, but more importantly to act on those ideas. As one speaker said, “Ideas are cheap”.
I wanted to share a few quotes/ideas that I took away from The Idea Camp. They are random and all over the place. I would like to give attribution where due, but some of these were just quick notes I wrote down when they struck me.
