There are a couple apps that I see discussed here and there that are becoming quite popular. They are Notify.app and Google Notifier. What these applications do are create icons on your computer that will alert you if you have a new email message. I used them both for a while, but I don’t anymore. I also took email off of my phone. I have had my WordPress sites hacked in the past, and I have a good friend who was just hacked as well. Most WordPress hacks are pretty harmless, and more annoying than anything. But if you are trying to build your website and gain the trust of your visitors, it probably doesn’t do you any favors by having a malware warning pop up when people try to access your site. The Idea Camp is a place to bring ideas, listen to ideas, and start talking about ways to see them become reality. The conference is participant-driven (versus big-name speaker driven) and follows the unconference format. (more…)
There’s no doubt that social media is here to stay. Many churches have started to use Twitter as a part of their ministry toolbox. I have been a big Twitter fan since I first signed up in January. It wasn’t long before I started seeing churches using Twitter in creative ways. Here are 3 great ways that I have seen churches incorporate Twitter into their ministries:
