There are dozens of great Twitter applications on the market today. Many of them have started to integrate support for other social media services. One of the new kids on the blog is a Mac application called Socialite. Socialite is fully featured social media app that gives the old school apps a run for their money.

I regularly use Time Machine to backup my files to an external hard drive. This is great if my laptop hard drive fails, but what happens if there is a fire and my external drive gets burned up along with my laptop? What happens if a thief breaks in and takes everything? I would lose all my pictures of my family. All my client work would be lost! Every song I have written, every song I have purchased. It would all be gone. For some people, this might not be a big deal. But to me, that would be epic. Luckily, Backblaze is a great (affordable) option to keep my data backed up and secure online.

In my efforts to become more minimalistic, I have removed all unnecessary applications from my dock. At first it seemed to be a little more of a burden than a help since I was often visiting the Application folder. But then I remembered about a little program for the Mac called Google Quick Search Box.

Dropbox is a great tool for keeping all of your files safe, secure, and in sync online. Dropbox is an incredible easy tool to use. In fact, most people won’t even know they are using Dropbox until they need to take advantage of some of it’s incredibly powerful features.
You can get a 2GB account for free, or if you need more space sign up for a 50GB or 100GB paid account.
